Where the big news is that Dan is no longer isolated in his shed in the car park and for all your wine needs, he is THE MAN!  BT has at last sorted out the crossed jumper that was the final thing preventing connection to the internet and the contact details for the wine shop are (01276) 857884, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We have Rioja Tempranillo Crianza on offer at £72 per 12, Vilmart NV Champagne on special at £132 per 6 and Giesta Rose 2010 at £84 per 12 as well as lots of other interesting wines which you wont find anywhere else localy. The website is very much under develpment but now that we have connectivity things will hopefully progress quickly.  If you are specifically wanting to be mailed details of wine offers and events separately to The Inn, please mail Dan as above and he will put you on his very own contact list. Don't forget, Dan always has a bottle or three open on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays to try and tempt you.

Thank you to all of you who correctly interpreted last weeks mailing and pointing out that our next wine supper is in fact on Sunday 17th July as opposed to November! If you would like to taste six wines with a two course supper and generally talk wine with Dan and myself, pease book a table anytime after 6pm and come on down and have a good time.

Do you like to have a guide book in the car to help you find decent pubs when you are out and about? We have ten Alastair Sawday Pub Guides, which would normally retail for £15.95, available for just £10 - first come first served. There is a pub copy on the bar for you to check out before you get your own.

Time stands still for no man, so neither does our menu! Try the Lobster Caesar Salad with a deep fried poached egg, or lightly smoked Duck Breast maybe, followed by Salmon with Green Goddess drsssing? First feedback has been very good, so do try it out and add your opinions to the pot. As always we love to hear your views, either directly when you eat or via Silent Customer or Tripadvisor. We like to get your feedback, thanks to all of you who take the tme to provide it.

On the subject of menu ideas, can we have some more suggestions for menu items here at The Inn - come on Margaret, get the family recipe out for us! We are having a competition for the 'menu item Lee likes the best' and which he will make into a commercial dish on our menu. You will get the experience of helping him perfect it and then two of you dining at The Inn to clebrate its inclusion in our repertoire. Ideas by the end of July in the Ingredients/Method/Presentation for 4 people layout please and e-mailed or sent here to The Inn.

As I have said, we love feedback and someone suggested that we should have a pudding night. As a result of this discusiion we are trying this out, next Monday evening, by having a special two course menu with a choice of three main courses and six puddings for just £20. (For the benefit of Tony, you chooses one of each!). We will also have a great selection of pudding wines to try and tempt you. Please call to book so we have some idea of how many extra puds to make.

Please put September 8th, 9th, 10th in your diary as we will be having quite a celebration here with a great wine tasting, tutored tasting and food matching wine dinner on the 8th; Venison roast and wine tasting on the 9th with several guest beers including one designed for El Bulli in Spain and on Saturday 10th another tasting with Jazz and the Fullers Dray horses in attendance followed by a wine bar and local food marquee at the West End and Windlesham Ag and Hort show on the field. We should have all the signs for the wine shop and possibly even a new one for the Inn by then and want to make a splash to remind people that we have become one of the top Epicurean venues in Surrey! Watch out for further details.

Finally, the next quiz night is on August 7th but unfortunately Martin will be away. I am very happy to be quiz master for the evening but if any of you would like to do a star turn as quizmaster, please let me know.
